In light of recent events in Charlottesville and across the United States, we want to make it clear to the members of the Roasters Guild and the Association that any display of hate symbolism and harassment cannot and will not be tolerated.

Today is Day 3 of our Roasters Guild Retreat, currently taking place in Atlanta, Georgia. The event brings the roasting community together to learn, connect and have fun. In order for that to happen, we insist on each event being an inclusive and safe space where everyone feels welcome. 

All attendees have agreed to abide by a code of conduct, which can be found here: http://www.roastersguild.org/code-of-conduct. SCA maintains a zero tolerance policy for harassment, violent behavior, and sexually offensive behavior or actions. 

Over the past six months, following the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) unification vote, the leadership of the Roasters Guild (RG) and the Roaster Guild of Europe (RGE) have been paving the way towards the unification of the two organizations to form the Coffee Roasters Guild (CRG)— the trade guild of the SCA for professionals dedicated to the craft of coffee roasting.
