Roaster Camp 2016 – Most Innovative Conference

Roaster Camp 2016 – Most Innovative Conference

The inaugural European Roaster Camp which took place in Pärnu, Estonia last October was recently nominated by the Estonian Convention Bureau for an award in their annual Conference Awards. Roaster Guild of Europe is very happy to announce that we came first in our category and won the award for Most Innovative Conference 2016.

It was our absolute pleasure to be invited back to Estonia to receive the award at a ceremony which took place in Tallinn on 11 January. The ceremony played host to 100 guests – chiefly conference organisers, members of the conference industry and university representatives – for an evening of music, food and recognition. The city's Deputy Mayor, Arvo Sarapuu, attended to  hand out the honours, accompanied by ECB Chairman Feliks Mägus and ECB Managing Director Kadri Karu. Also there to support and welcome us back to Estonia was Ave Pill, Sales Manager at Estonia Resort Hotel and Spa.

The Estonian Convention Bureau is a non-profit organisation established jointly by public and private sector bodies. It was founded in March 2008 in order to attract international conventions like Roaster Camp and Barista Camp to Estonia. We'd like to express a huge thanks to ECB for their support with preparations for Roaster Camp and for their acknowlegement with this award!

RGE would also like to say a massive thanks to everyone who helped bring the inauguarl Roaster Camp to life – from the Working Group to volunteers to the trainers & speakers and to Eventhaus – we couldn't have done it without you!
