By CRG CHAIR FILIP BARTELAK

Dear members of the Coffee Roasters Guild around the globe,

Scroll down to learn more about each candidate.

Thank you to our 2021 Election Committee for the hours of work interviewing all of the nominees that we received. It was a lot of hard work and we appreciate their dedication to the Guild.

Meet the Slate of Candidates

Jiyoon Han

“I've been part of CRGLC for the past year, filling in for someone who had resigned. It's been a great experience bonding with fellow leaders in coffee roasting and I have led a few initiatives, including user survey (to better understand our demographic) and virtual origin trip (to promote visibility of women coffee producers through COVID). I'd love to continue to be part of the CRGLC.”

Lynsey Harley

Lynsey has been active within the speciality coffee sector since 2009, firstly as a competitor and then as a judge and national coordinator for the UK. A judge in the inaugural World Brewers Cup in 2011, Lynsey continued her judging and volunteering roles until 2015 when she launched her coffees roasting business, Modern Standard Coffee.

With a team of 30 employees, MSC have grown into one of the largest speciality coffee roasteries in the UK.

Roosa Jalonen

Roosa is an experienced roaster and barista, as well as a cup tasting champion and certified Arabica Q-Grader. Originally from Finland, she is a well-established member of the London coffee scene, where she's been working for a number of well-known roasteries. Currently leading the roastery team and coffee programme at The Gentlemen Baristas. She is also a great role model for female roasters in the industry.
